Hooting Up The Airport Race

hooter.jpgThe race to become Chicago's next big airport Hooters up...er "heats" up this week, with the Federal Aviation Administration giving the go ahead for initial master plans of Peotone airport, and even more exciting, Hooters Airlines begins service out of competing Gary-Chicago Airport to Myrtle Beach, SC.

Chicagoist is blown away that so many people want to go to Myrtle Beach, that Hooters Air now has service to six cities, but hey maybe those Hooters Girls and hot wings are worth the trip. The Hooters Girls aren't flight attendants, by the way. Chicagoist has a flight attendant friend at another airline that reports the FAA required real attendants to be there for the inital safety check, boarding, deplaning, etc. and for Hooter Girls to just serve drinks. Wierd.
