Chicago Mile by Mile

On Chicago's famous street grid, street numbers start at State and Madison downtown. State Street divides east and west addresses and Madison divides north and south addresses. 1 mile is equal to 800 street numbers. Chicago Mile by Mile is a photographic version of this grid. 212 snapshots were taken at the intersections of every mile street, in multiples of 800. It's interesting to see how drastically different the photographs are depending where you are on the grid. For example, State & Madison is very urban, Avenue C and 111th is very suburban, and Yates & 95th is very rustic.
