SummerDance, Teach Us to Dance

If there's one thing Chicagoist can't do it's dance. Which is why we're thankful for SummerDance. In it's 8th year, SummerDance is just about half way through its summer schedule but there are still plenty of opportunities for Chicagoist to collectively bust a move. The festival offers a variety of live music outdoors in Grant Park and has a one-hour dance lesson, followed by two hours of live music and dancing format. If you love to dance or if you want to learn to dance, this is the place for you. Music and dance formats taught each week range from Swing to Salsa, Ballroom to Rock n' Roll, and Techno to Country 2-Step. Even better it's free! Dance days are Thursdays - Saturdays from 6 9:30pm and Sundays from 4 7pm (weather-permitting) so get out there and let us see you shake your groove thang! We promise not to point and laugh (maybe).
