Nobody Doesn't Like a Sex Scandal

Steven McMillan, chairman of Chicago-headquartered Sara Lee, has been accused of offering a Dallas woman a high-paying promotion in exchange for sex. In a lawsuit filed last week, Brenda Jarvis says McMillan offered her a $140,000 marketing position and said that he made it clear that he expected sex in exchange. Apparently they got it on, but when Jarvis broke off the relationship a few weeks later McMillan withdrew the job offer.
Sara Lee acknowledges that the two had "a brief social relationship" but denies that McMillan ever offered Jarvis a job. Jarvis says she has a witness. That a woman who lunched with her and McMillan at a Gold Coast restaurant heard them talk about the job offer. Spicy! For more juicy he-said, she-said check this Trib article.
Just the day before the sex scandal hit the news stands, Sara Lee reported a 20% increase in its fiscal 4th quarter earning. It should be interesting to see if this affects the management of the company and how well it performs. And we don't know about you, but hello! Chicagoist would have to get paid more than $140k to sleep with a creepy guy who looks like our grandpa and probably has hair growing out of his ears. Ew!
