Happy Ending for Bears

Playing against Head Coach Lovie Smith's old team, the Bears defeated the St. Louis Rams 13-10 in overtime. Despite a rash of penalties, they kept the game close and stopped a key Rams drive late in the 4th quarter by recovering a fumble. On the opening kickoff in overtime, kick returner Ahmad Merritt returned the ball 87 yards to set up Paul Edinger's game-winning field goal.
While the Bears are now 1-0 in the preseason, it may be a bit too soon to start dreaming of Super Bowls. But just in case, you might want to begin pricing flights to Jacksonville.
