What About Winnie Cooper?

In a story straight out of a "Wonder Years" script, People magazine reports that Glencoe-native Fred Savage recently married a boyhood neighbor pal. They were married on August 7 at L'Orangerie, in Los Angeles.

Savage, 28, and Jennifer Stone, 31, had been friends and neighbors in the North Shore suburb until 1988 when Savage moved to L.A. to star in the "Wonder Years." Eleven years later, they reconnected at a birthday party.

Their marriage sounds as it's off the sitcom-like start. Fred mentioned, ''I promised to always bring up a glass of water to her before we go to bed, and she promised to never let me dress myself.'' Isn't that a line borrowed from brother Ben Savage's character Cory on "Boy Meets World?"
