Tough Days in McHenry County

Tornado from Northwest TribuneMcWhat? Yes, McHenry County! It's that county just northwest of Cook County, home to film director John Hughes and Woodstock, Illinois, the film location of Groundhog Day. But really, what we'd like to point out is the inordinate amount of bad things that have been happening to the good people of McHenry County.

Most recently the City of McHenry endured a tornado yesterday (no injuries) and five teens in Crystal Lake got bat rabies from some bats they found in a lake.

The tornado touched down briefly during last night's big storm but fortunately didn't hurt anyone. It did mess up a few model homes in a subdivision though.

But what the heck?! Bat rabies?
