Chicagoist would rather spend our Sunday morning sleeping off the night before, but apparently a lot of others find it the perfect opportunity to go for a swim, a run and a bike ride.
Sunday is the Accenture Chicago Triathlon, the world largest competition of its kind. The event features a 1.5K swim, 40K bike and 10K run along Chicago's lakefront.
While it's a bit too late to begin your triathalon training or register for the event, it's not too late to plan to cheer on the athletes. For those wanting to watch the triathalon, here is a handy list of tips for spectators.
New this year, the triathalon will feature real-time updates pushed to a registered "cell or telephone, pager, wireless PDA, or instant messenger address" as the racer passes each sensor. Pretty cool!
