According to this month's Chicago Magazine, Comcast is about to debut a new local sports network CSN (Comcast SportsNet Chicago) that will focus on Chicago sports. CSN is apparently set to launch October 1. Yeehaw, sports fans. CSN already has Mid-Atlantic and Philly locations, and they appear to be well, if not thriving certainly existing. The website looks a little familiar, and all the swooshy backgrounds look like the SportsCenter supernova thingie, but that's probably the point.
CSN is already promising "48 Bulls Games, 43 Black Hawks Games, 74 Cubs Games, 100 White Sox Games," weekly highlight shows, pre and post-game wrap ups, and its flagship programs SportsNite and SportsRise. Sigh. This makes Chicagoist miss one of our favorite shows ever, Sports Night. We especially like the fact that that show's title is two words. Blast you, CamelCase!
Also, new season of Dream Job? Who knew?
