Latest Excuse to Drink

Is everyone all geared up for the debates tomorrow? We're pretty much pissing ourselves here at the Chicagoist offices, or we would be if we weren't so busy getting high and watching The Daily Show, so we'd like to thank the Tribune for running its debate drinking game article today. It gives us plenty of time to get ready.
In "The Official 2004 Presidential Debate Drinking Game," everyone's apparently a winner. We were caught a bit off guard by the byline "By David Martin. David Martin lives in Ottawa, Canada" though—is that, uh, a joke? Or does he live there for real? Is he from Canada? Meh, the game's not that good anyway. Wonkette weighs in with her own take, which is funnier and more in-depth, but we think there's probably a better one out there. We're considering playing it all classy and smart-like and hitting up the Chicago Historical Society's debate-night festivities (second item). There's a reception starting at 6 p.m. and a discussion with Don Wycliff, public editor at the Trib, and Alan Gitelson, professor at Loyola University. No word yet on what drinking game they'll be playing.
