he This is Grand photo contest deadline is tonight at midnight. Jonathan tells us that the crackpot team at TiG has been getting lots of great photos so far, but that they're going to be hanging 12 shots, so there's still room for your photographic brilliance. Aw yeah. Winners will be notified by October 14, but don't fret—even if you don't win, you're still eligible to be published on the site.
Speaking of local photography hotness, one of our favorite fotologgers Ray Pride has four pictures in a show at the Zolla/Lieberman Gallery. "Frozen in Light" is an installation of over 130 photos from 23 Chicagoland photogs, including Suzette Bross, Marc Hauser (turn your speakers off), Brian Ulrich, and Jeff Stella. The show closes October 9, so haul your ass in there for your dose of culture.
