Tune In To History

By Sam Bakken in News on Oct 12, 2004 6:05PM

Alan Keyes and Barack Obama square off tonight in Springfield. Tune in to WBBM 780-AM at 7 p.m. to hear the first ever debate between two major-party black candidates vying for the Senate.

keyesobama.jpgThere shouldn't be any real surprises at tonight's debate, so expect more of the same. Keyes will say America is going to hell and that people who vote for baby-killer Obama will soon suffer the fiery edge of God's sword as it decapitates the heathens. Obama will provide well-reasoned practical solutions to what ails Illinois and the nation. Or wait, we should try to be fair to our conservative readers. So, for all you Keyes fans, "Obama will espouse his pinko-commie liberal agenda and Keyes will defend his position that increased morality in America will put Illinois, and the nation, back on track." Well that didn't quite work either. How about, "Keyes will say things and Obama will say things and they may disagree." That works.

If you think radio is sooooo ten years ago, don't worry. The second and third debates (Oct. 21 and 26) will be televised on ABC and WTTW respectively.
