Keyes Blames The Media, Republicans

2004_11_keyes.jpgSo.. Alan Keyes lost bigtime. . But, you know, it wasn't his fault. It was the media. The Media! And Republicans "in name only" that Keyes is blaming for his defeat. Keyes also said that he didn't call Barack Obama to congratulate him after his win because doing so would have been a "false gesture" because he believes that Obama's views on issues like abortion are wicked.

Keyes got killed in the election, coming in 43 percentage points behind Obama but says that despite his loss he thought he did a good job spreading his message of moral values. It's beyond us, but somehow he did get 1.3 million people to vote for him. Not enough though, not nearly enough. 4 out of 10 Illinios Republicans voted for Obama. Robert Gibbs, a spokes man for Obama, said, "The people of Illinois rendered a very clear decision on Tuesday by handing Alan Keyes the greatest election defeat in Illinois Senate history."

When asked if he plans to stay in our fine state, Keyes gets dodgy, saying that he wants to work with the people he met here on a morality-based endeavor for both the state and the country. Uh.. sure.. good luck with that, Mr. Keyes! And have a nice life... outside of Illinois!
