Chicagoist is in the mood for a good chuckle, and usually we'd just ask a pal to tickle us for 20 minutes or so, but people are kind of busy these days, what with the holidays coming up and all. So tonight, to fill our giggle quota for the week and our ironic humor quota for the next year, we are heading to see Stella at the Metro.

Stella is the three-man comedy troupe of Michael Ian Black, Michael Showalter, and David Wain, the genius trio behind The State and one of our favorite movies ever, Wet Hot American Summer. Man, we love that movie. We were fanatical about watching Viva Variety, too, so we're extra excited for tonight.

Tickets are $18 and can be purchased at the Metro; the guy at the box office told us there were about 400 left, so you'll probably be OK just getting to the show a little early. Doors open at 8 and the show starts at 9.
