City Sticker Competition Today!

city_sticker_entries.jpgCity car stickers are a drag. You have to go to the DMV to get them, you have to pay a bunch of money for them, and if you don't have one, count on getting at least $200 of tickets to encourage you to get one. On the bright side, this year there's an actual competition to choose the art displayed on the sticker.

Every year the Chicago City Clerk chooses art from a group of high school artists. This year the Clerk's office is getting all 'lectronic on us, and holding a ONE DAY vote to choose next year's city sticker. The voting is e-mail driven, so you can vote for one sticker per e-mail address. We suppose folks could get tricky and create a few hundred Hotmail accounts to game the process, but that would be lame.

The student art was selected from all over the city, but we think it's pretty cool that Maria High School has two entrants.
