We're Gonna Be There, Are You?

Chicagoist

It's a thirsty Thursday if ever there were. It's been snowing and raining (holla, seasonal affective disorder,); everyone's feeling like a fatty after Thanksgiving and like a hobo with no gift budget. These are dark days, friends: our transit system is about to go belly-up, our country is at war, and that Seinfeld special was kind of disappointing. Let's all take a big deep breath. In? Slowly? Now let it out. Aah. Are you thinking what we're thinking? Time to get shitfaced!

Yes, if you're feeling cold, fat, poor, stranded, anxious, and let-down, come drown your sorrows with the Chicagoist crew! If you're feeling warm, in shape, loaded, ambitious, and ready for fun, you should come too. Also, are you single? Can we buy you a drink?

We're having an informal, come-as-you-are gathering tonight at Northside, at Damen and North to celebrate...nothing in particular...just to drink...and eat...and drink.. and have a good time (and drink). If you want, stop by and say "hi". We plan to get there after workish.. so maybe like 6:30 or so. It'd be great to meet you, we love to meet readers! Come on by, say hello, and if you're a frequent commenter, Margaret will probably buy you a beer.
