A Tranny Fashion Show Early Sunday Morning, That'll Wake You Up!

Imagine this: You wake up at 5am on Sunday, drag the kids out of bed, get them showered and ready, get them breakfast, drive the minivan to the YMCA for a 7am swim meet, and you walk in, with your kids, on a trannie fashion show in full effect.

RuPaul - Image: RuPaul.comDue to a "a very regrettable scheduling error" that's exactly what happened yesterday. A YMCA member had reserved the facility at 1515 N. Halsted from 11pm - 8am for a fashion show and ball featuring cross-dressing and transgender models in competition. (The Sun-Times said the event was similar to the ones shown in a documentary called "Paris Is Burning.") The facility was also booked for a youth swim meet scheduled to begin at 7am. Whoops.

Most of the kids were elementary and junior high aged and while parents say they're not opposed to their kids seeing gay people, the ball was a little more raunch than little Johnny and Susie should be exposed to.

Some of the angry parents began to fight with the ball's participants and make sexual slurs. A scuffle ensued, someone mistakenly heard gunshots, and police were called when someone threw a chair. Just imagine the suburban soccer mom in a confrontation with RuPaul in the hallway of the YMCA. We can't get enough of this!

A spokesman for the YMCA said, "The YMCA regrets any confusion or concern caused to our members by this scheduling conflict." WTG, YMCA!
