Four-Play

Bulls - Image: APSomething was in the 'Air' at the United Center Monday night and it wasn't just the Bulls' first four-game winning streak since 1998. Although Eddy Curry certainly has been smoking lately.

His Airness, Michael Jordan, stopped by and took in some standing adulation from the thick-and-thin faithful at the UC while the Bulls tipped Portland, 92-87. Rookie Ben Gordon scored 23 and Curry added 18.

Jordan appeared on the scoreboard before the start of the fourth quarter and the thunderous applause certainly didn't hurt.

As for Curry, the Chicago Tribune's Sam Smith considered the Eddy Curry dilemma Monday. Now that he's playing well, should they really trade him?

Yet even the trade rumors can't distract the notion that the Bulls might be starting to gel as a team. We can only hope. We need something to tide us over until Spring Training.

Special thanks to Greg, who will be covering sports while Benjy is on vacation!
