2005 Bloggies - Vote for Chicagoist!

You've got 5 more days to nominate your favorite blogs for a 2005 Bloggie award. Chicagoist is a big fan of the Bloggies and has already cast our votes (no, they weren't all for ourselves!) for our favorite sites and daily reads. Last year we even attended the awards ceremony in Texas where the creator, Nikolai Nolan, sang a blog song to the tune of Justin Timberlake's Rock Your Body. Pretty funny... reminds us that we have a movie clip of that somewhere we should dig out and use as blackmail!

Anyway, and here's the point of this whole post- Chicagoist was started in 2004 so we are eligible for a Bloggie.. whattaya say? Nominate us for Best Group Blog? Best New Weblog?

Last year Gothamist was nominated for 3 awards: Best American Weblog, Best Non-Weblog Content of a Weblog Site, Best Group Weblog. Unfortunately, we weren't able to take home any. We remember Cory Doctorow of BoingBoing fame taking the stage a ton.. figures, BoingBoing rules! Of course, we'd be honored if any of the other sites in the Gothamist family were nominated too - Gothamist, DCist, LAist, Londonist, SFist, and Torontoist.
