No Photos of The Bean, Please

So the buzz all around the internet yesterday was how it's come to light that Millennium Park is a copyrighted public space and that photographers have been getting hassled for taking photographs at the park. An official has been quoted as saying "The copyrights for the enhancements in Millennium Park are owned by the artist who created them. As such, anyone reproducing the works, especially for commercial purposes, needs the permission of that artist."
Boing Boing, who, along with the rest of the universe, thinks that the copyright is completely absurd, is encouraging you to upload any photographs you have of Cloud Gate to flickr and to tag them as "cloudgate." Chicagoist added our 9 photos yesterday and all together there are almost 100 already.
We don't know about you, but we're starting to think that the tent covering "The Bean" is more about protecting the copyright and less about buffing the seams.
