Land of Lincoln Photo Contest

As we all know, this Saturday is Abraham Lincoln's birthday and being in the official Land of Lincoln, Chicagoist wanted to celebrate in a unique way. For the first time ever, we're sponsoring a photo contest. But this isn't just ANY photo contest, this is a Land of Lincoln photo contest where every photo submitted must have Abraham Lincoln in it.

Since we all have photographs like the ones shown - of the statue in Grant Park and the sign over the Lincoln Diner, bonus points will be given for submissions that are out of the ordinary.. odd camera angles or composition of common Lincolns, or odd/obscure Lincoln photos.

The photo you submit must be your own, no trying to pass someone else's work off as your own (obvs). Photos must be at least 400x600 pixels. To enter the contest, send your photograph to lincolnphotocontest@gmail.com. The winner, in addition to gaining the esteem of all those who view their work, will be showered with Lincoln-related gifts at a special happy hour where winners will be announced. All entries must be received by March 5, 2005.
