Chicagoist likes our sports at much as anyone, but we realize that there is a time and place for things other than sports. Like love. Yet some guys foolishly think they can combine the two. More often in not, this ends in utter failure. Like this guy the other night who tried proposing at center court of the Magic - Hornets game. In front of the whole stadium, she ran away rather than say "yes." OUCH!

Yet the White Sox are trying to convince people here in Chicago that it'd be a great idea to get married at U.S. Cellular Field.

One of the Sox Fantasy Experiences, buyers of the "Wedding Experience" can get married "on the field, the warning track or the center-field fan deck" with up to 200 guests, depending on the ceremony location. Upgrades available include scoreboard messaging, in-stadium music, and even having Sox organist Nancy Faust play! Does she know the wedding march, or will people have to walk down the aisle to "Charge!"? Regardless, Chicagoist is pretty sure that suggesting a U.S. Cellular wedding is the quickest way to have the engagement broken off.
