CBS 2 Chicago is reporting that Route 59, near Streamwood, was closed today after a dairy service truck left a rich, delicious, calcium-rich slick frozen to its surface. The truck reportedly crossed the center line early this morning after encountering slippery road conditions, Smacks-ing into three other vehicles before rolling over and leaking milk all over the road from its teats. Several people were reportedly injured and taken to local hospitals, but none of the injuries were thought to be too serious.
Route 59 was closed between Golf Road and Schaumburg Road for much of this morning, and while authorities continue to clean the frozen milk from the road, medical personnel are quick to point out that this particular stretch of Route 59 will at least never have to worry about getting osteoporosis.
