Brawl at the United Center

Last night an enormous fight broke out at a boys high school state tournament sending 2 or 3 (depending on which report you read) people, one a police sergeant, to the hospital.
The fight broke out at about 8:30pm at the United Center during a Class AA supersectional game between Harvey Thornton and Homewood-
Flossmoor. Thorton had won the game 46-40. Only a few people were in custody for participating in the fight, which started out small and grew to as many as 200 people.
We assumed the fight was started by some sore losers, but were wrong. The fight started between rival gangs who were watching the game and quickly grew too large for the United Center security staff to handle to so the police were called. 6 ambulances were also sent to the scene.
The sergant who is in the hospital suffered a heart attack and is in good condition. He collapsed to the floor after the fight was broken up. Another person in the hospital is a teenager who is in good condition with head trauma.
