"Gay Frat Boys Gone Wild" Comes to Chicago

It's that time of year fondly known as "Spring Break" when the kids head to the tropical sandy beaches of... Chicago?! This year, our freezing city plays host to an alternative spring break for gay youth, ages 13 to 23.
Events are jam-packed over the next two weeks, starting tonight at the Center on Halsted, Chicago's gay and lesbian community center.
Throughout the festivities, five lucky Spring Breakers will participate in a MTV-style "Real World Chicago Experiment" and compete in "spectacular contests that require them to get along with complete strangers." Oh the drama!
Other events include "Shop Til You Drop," when Halsted merchants will give discounts to spring breakers, and a drug- and alcohol-free dance party called Synergy. Parties like the "Masquerade Ball" and "Frat Boys Gone Wild" are only open to the over-21 crowd or those with fake IDs.
For a complete schedule, check Chicago Gay Youth's website or call (877) 286-1939.
If warm weather is more your style, Luxe Travel is hosting a gay spring break in Puerto Vallarta.
And yes, Chicagoist feels very old and needs a nap.
