Old Navy Wants Your Feet

2005_04_old_navy_flip_flops.jpgOn Sunday at 2am, we turn our clocks ahead one hour and begin Daylight Saving Time. Chicagoist doesn't normally celebrate this, we mostly just bitch and moan about the hour of sleep that we're missing out on - although it is nice to leave work when it's still light out.

This year Old Navy is having a Daylight Saving celebration. "Old Navy?" you ask. Yes. "But, won't it be corny?" you ask. Why, yes, it will be. "Does it barely relate to daylight savings?" Hardly at all! And, finally, "Will Chicagoist be there participating?" YES, YES, YES.

Here's the deal - Old Navy is having a daylight savings "Flip Ahead" for Spring Fun weekend at their store on State/Washington where they're going to be getting ready for flip-flop season by having a foot model casting call this weekend. Seriously. This is a chance for all us butterfaces with beautiful feet to go and be the models we always dreamed of being.

All contestants who show up will have an official Old Navy "FOOTography" taken and will be entered to be the next national foot model in Old Navy's Top Flip-Flop Model Contest, which will FEETure their feet in an Old Navy circular. The winner will also get 365 pairs of flip-flops and other prizes for their feet.

Entering the contest is free and Chicagoist will have at least 2 people there representing our staff's lovely tootsies. If you've got feet worth showing off, head over to the Old Navy store on State St. Saturday and/or Sunday (April 2 & 3) between 12pm and 3pm. Just watch out for this guy!
