Bloomin' Terrific at Lunchtime

Bloomin' Terrific, the City's celebration of springtime, starts off it's season today at Daley Plaza. Every Thursday around lunchtime there are activities and a market from now until May 12. It's probably too late for you to attend today's event on creating herb containers but you can still stop by the market, which is open from 8 am - 2pm every Thursday to sell flowers and plants. So get offya butt, outta your cube for a while and attend one of the other weekly events:
April 14, 11am: Urban Gardening presented by the Chicago Botanic Garden
April 21, 11am: Celebrate Earth Day by learning how to recycle and conserve natural resources to protect our ecosystem. Presented by the Universiy of Illinois Extension Master Gardener Program.
April 28, 11am: Visit the Friends of the Park Information Booth and learn about exciting events being held around the city.
May 5, Noon: The Mayor's Office of Special Events kicks off the Neighborhood Festival season. Ethnic performers will entertain, various sponsors will be on hand to promote city-wide happenings.
May 12, Noon: Mayor's Office of Special Events and the Chicago Park District present Come Out and Workout and will teach you how to exercise and about good nutrition. Weather permitting, there will be an interactive fitness demonstration.
