Wrigleyville Neighbor Day

Today was Wrigleyville Neighbor Day. Every year, neighbors of Wrigley Field are invited to enter a drawing, and then winners, along with a guest, are treated to free beer and brats and an unhurried afternoon on the grass. Chicagoist went today and lounged on the outfield grass, watched kids toss the ball on bullpen mounds, and spit in the dugouts. Once upon a time Wrigley Field and the Cubs were regularly accused of poor relations with their neighbors, but Neighbor Day is an example of how they've turned those frowns upside down.
