This Sunday, Lake Shore Dr. will again be closed to cars so that bicycle riders can Bike the Drive. From sunrise until about 10:30am, bikes will rule the road as riders can chose from a 15 or 30-mile tour along the lakefront. Yeah, it's early. But hopefully a nice sunrise will help inspire you.

Chicagoist has wanted to participate in this every year since we returned to Chicago, and every year some family function has prevented us from doing so. This year, we've got a Sunday morning wedding.

It costs $35 to participate, which includes a t-shirt and post-ride party as well as support for the Chicagoland Bicycle Federation. So go sign up, clean the winter's grime off your bike and enjoy a leisurly cruise along LSD.
