Vienna slips its wieners into Target

Chicagoist is just dying to know what the commercials for this one are going to look like.
Chicago's own Vienna Beef hot dogs has reached an agreement with Target "Please-Stop-Fucking-Calling-It-Tar-Jay" Corp. to distribute its hot dogs on the discount chain's shelves as well as feature its Chicago-style dog at the food courts operating in 1,350 Target stores.
According to the Trib article, Jim Bodman, chairman and owner of Vienna Beef Co., says that the deal is "... a godsend ..." and looks for an increase in hot dog sales of about 10 percent from the Target deal.
That's a lot of hot dogs.
Chicagoist typically stays away from food served in retail stores because we're not into mixing our knick-knack purchases with eating. It's just a personal choice. But we're willing to overlook the rule since spending more money than we planned on when we walked into that damn place always works up an appetite and Chicagoist loves Vienna.
Plus, it saves us a stop at Vienna headquarters on Damen on our way home.
