Do Blogs Contribute To Society?

By Sam Bakken in Miscellaneous on Jun 9, 2005 3:52PM

6_2005_radio.jpgIf you've got a craving for some good old fashion public radio today, you may want to tune in at noon to today's Odyssey program on WBEZ 91.5 FM that will explore the question, "How do blogs really relate to society, the academy, and other forms of media?"

Host Gretchen Helfrich will talk with Eugene Volokh, founder and coauthor of the blog The Volokh Conspiracy, and Henry Farrell, a contributor to the blog Crooked Timber. Volokh also teaches free speech and copyright law, among other things, at UCLA Law School. Farrell is Assistant Professor at the Department of Political Science and Elliott School of International Affairs of the George Washington University.

If you're too cool for radio, you can listen to the streaming broadcast at Odyssey's Web site where it will also be archived later today.
