Market Days' Dazed Marketing

Chicagoist is admittedly crabby towards Market Days this year (unlike last year). Not only will we have to suffer the crowds around Lakeview this upcoming weekend, but we've also had to look at those fugly ads on the El every morning (larger version here). Someone in the Northalsted marketing offices needs to tone down the 80s retro!
Nonetheless, Chicago's largest street festival kicks off tomorrow with promises of "fine arts, crafts, food, beverages, live music and entertainment on three stages!" Crafts? Break out the decoupage! We've also heard that there will be plenty of boozing and cruising, but that's just a rumor.
Acts like Duncan Sheik and comedienne Judy Tenuta are slated to entertain the shirtless masses on Saturday, and Sunday brings The Average White Band, Melissa Ferrick and Whild Peach to three stages.
The ad doesn't include location and times of the gaiety, but the Sun-Times reports that the event runs 11am to 10pm from Belmont to Addison on Halsted. See you there.
