Got Unpaid Parking Tickets? Don't Park at Midway!

2005_08_boot.jpgThey're already doing it at O'Hare.. and now it's coming to Midway. If you park your car in the airport parking lot and have "too many" unpaid parking tickets then you're gonna get a boot on your car. Not sure how many is "too many." Probably this many. Kidding. It's 3. If you've got 3 outstanding tickets or more, you better hide your car in your garage and not park in public.

The City's had this policy for city lots and at O'Hare for a few years. Just last year the city booted 2,749 vehicles at O'Hare alone. We hear that the offenders are identified through random license plate checks. .. but like is there someone hired just to do it? Or do they have cops drive through? Or is that parking lot security guy calling in plate numbers?

If you get caught and your car gets booted then you're in for a big ole headache that'll make you wonder why you didn't just pay the damn things in the first place. You'll have to go to the airport's taxi staging area and cough up the dough to pay all your fines.. or try to figure out some sort of payment plan. On top of that we're sure you'll have to pay the boot removal fee. Not fun. .. but a great way for the City to collect on all those unpaid fines!
