Peeping Tom at Ghirardelli?

A woman from WI was visiting Chicago and, like many tourists, stopped in for some yummy chocolate at the Ghirardelli Chocolate store on Michigan Ave. While there she used the restroom. Ok. .. but here's where it gets creepy.. She says that while she was in there doing her thang, she heard a noise by the trash can. She looked over and saw a male employee peeking through the lid of the garbage receptacle and watching her!

How is that possible? The woman says that the men's and women's bathrooms share a trash can with a lid on each side. She says that a male employee bumped into her on the way to the bathroom and after she went inside, her fiance says the employee went in the men's bathroom. She says the guy tampered with the trash so he could go into it on the men's side and go across to the women's. Then as she sat on the toilet she saw the employee looking at her from inside the trash. When the employee saw that she saw him he ran out of the men's restroom. Or at least that's what the lawsuit says, because, of course, she's suing.

The ST says a check was done at the store and while the bathrooms do share a wall, they don't share a trash can. Ghirardelli is refusing to say whether it's always been like that or if they have remodelled the store since the incident allegedly occurred.

Here's the thing. Chicagoist can understand why a guy would want to peep on a girl to see her naked. Ohhh, Boobies! But we never could really grasp the guys that peep on girls in outhouses or while they're using the toilet. Ohhh, Poopies!
