...And Then There Were Three

Last night on "Rock Star: INXS," Chicago’s Marty Casey clinched a spot in the final three, which means he’ll go on to the finale show and have a shot at becoming INXS’ new lead singer. And honestly, we’re feeling a bit conflicted about the whole thing.
We’ll leave it to the "Rock Star" website to give you the full recap and just bullet point it for you here:
* Marty: Loved by the audience, disliked by acoustic guitar makers
* Suzie: Headed back to Canada faster than Illinois’ elderly
* Mig: Suspiciously confident
* The other guy: The Zeppo of the finale show
* Dave Navarro: Pretty
So what now? Our hometown pride dictates that we should root for Marty to wipe the stage with Mig and The Other Guy. But if that happens, what’s to become of The Lovehammers? All joking aside, they deserve any success that comes their way after so many years in Chicago’s rock club trenches. Becoming “the band Marty Casey used to be in” would be an inglorious end.
In any case, you can join the Lovehammers for the finale of "Rock Star" at Joe's on Weed St. next Tuesday, September 20th at 8 PM. Whether you're there to celebrate or to mourn, it's quarter draft night so you're pretty well covered either way.
