Summer must be coming to an end because the Hideout Block Party is this weekend. Chicagoist looks forward to this event all year long and this year is no exception. It's a little more country on Friday night and a little more rock-n-roll on Saturday. So throw on the ironic tee, cowboy boots and check out this year's block party.

The cover is a donation of $10 that benefits P.L.A.Y., Tuesday's Child, and Literacy Works. Chicago's hottest bands and some reunited legends are slated to perform this little party that grows in popularity every year. We don't know how the Hideout gets these great bands, but they do. A couple of notes: Friday evening lawn chairs are allowed. Remember to eat Friday before heading down, as there will be no food vendors that night. Saturday has free kids games and prizes - so bring the shortie.

Full schedule after the jump.
