Meet the Chicago Sky

A while back, a group of investors announced that they'd be bringing the WNBA to Chicago. On Tuesday, they unveiled the team's new name. While we were hoping for the Chicago Ists, they chose go with the Chicago Sky. Well, at least they kind of copied our logo.

The Chicago Sky will begin play in May 2006 with former NBA Head Coach Dave Cowens as their Head Coach. The Team's roster will be filled with players through an expansion draft, free agency and the college draft.

The Sky will play their home games at the UIC Pavilion. Season ticket packages are available, althought there are no prices listed. You'll have to contact the team and somebody will contact you with options and pricing.
