Smoking Ban Approved, Voting Tuesday

Yesterday the city council approved a smoking ban for the city's restaurants & bars, but they're waiting until Tuesday to vote on it while some alderman try to form a compromise with the state's restaurant association. Some want to have an exemption for freestanding bars and restaurant bars that are seperate from eating areas and they say a total ban would affect the ability to make money and would send people to the suburbs to smoke & drink. Hey, it's Friday night! Let's get our smoke on.. we're going to Schaumburg, who's in? [crickets]
Chicagoist was out way too late last night, hence the lateness of all our posts today, and when we got up this morning and smelled our hair and clothes, we about barfed. We can't wait for this ban to go through.
