We're back in from seeing the World Champion Chicago White Sox go by in trollies and decided that we should figure out what the heck we're doing now that baseball is over. We looked around and saw that The Golden Republic hailing from Kansas City, MO are playing Saturday evening at Subterranean.

The Golden Republic are one of the many bands working the 70s glam rock revival, but are still getting some airplay. The band tends to take several different sounds from folk, country and glam and mix them together into their style. This will be one of the last chances to catch them before they head back into the studio at the end of year.

Scotland Yard Gospel Choir will be playing with TGR and it will be Matthew Kerstein's final Chicago show with the band. The website states that he will be starting his own ventures. The tickets are $10 and the show begins at 10 pm Saturday.
