Chicaogist walks past Phil Stefani's 437 Rush Restaurant on the way to work so we snapped a couple photos of the damage done when the SUV slammed into it this weekend. Looks like the lions that used to grace the entrance are kind of toast!

The crash into the restaurant was caused by the Cadillac SUV being involved in a shootout with a green van. It happened late Saturday night/early Sunday morning and one person was hurt. Both vehicles were both shooting at each other and the bitch of it is that the person who was hurt was an innocent bystander caught in the crossfire. The man injured was shot in the arm but seems to be ok, otherwise.

The shootout ended when the SUV crashed into Phil Stefani's. The van got away and no arrests have been made yet. It's believed that the incident was gang-related. Stefani's was closed Sunday and there's not word when it will reopen.
