It's Not the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade...... yet!

2005_11_tgiving_parade_balloon.jpgIf you're not too hung over from your Thanksgiving Eve festivities ("yay! no work for four days, lets get wasted!" or more like "holy shit, i have to spend the next 48 with my family, lets get wasted!"), head over to State Street tomorrow for the 72nd annual State Street Thanksgiving Parade.

Over 350,000 people are expected to show up with 1.5 million watching at home. The parade features huge-ass helium balloons, marching bands, shitting horses and clowns chasing after them with poop scoopers, floats, and local and national celebrities. So, it's basically the same as the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, except without the name. For now. Of course, we're wildly speculating just to remind you that the Marshall Field's name is changing! We're sure it won't be the Macy's parade any time soon. Right?

Update: We just got the news that at 10am on Friday, Nov. 25, @ Field's State St., there will be a Green Friday rally organized through the Keep it Field's website. If you want to save the Marshall Field's name, head down and show your support!
