Bears Win 7th In a Row

In their second statement game in as many weeks, the Bears proved once again that they are a force in the NFC as they beat Tampa Bay 13-10 in Tampa. Both teams entered the game with 7-3 records, and again the Bears proved that their defense can win them games almost single handedly.
A forced fumble on the 1-yard line during Tampa's first possession set up the Bears lone TD, which along with two field goals was enough to secure victory. The Bears defense again dominated their opponent, allowing just 10 points. Through 11 games, they have given up just 120 points -- 10.9 as game. With a defense that stingy, the offense doesn't need to do too much.
There was time when the Bears looked like a team about to make us suffer through another long season of loss after loss. Following a 20-10 loss to Cleveland, the Bears sat at 1-3. However, that was the last time the Bears lost a game. How long has it been since the Bears last lost? At that point, the White Sox were still waiting to find out whether they'd play the Yankees or Angels!
While the Bears turned things around and now sit at 8-3, their next opponent has experienced the opposite fate this year. While many predicted the Packers to be a playoff team, they enter next weekend's Soldier Field matchup at 2-9. The Bears should be able to run their streak to 8 games -- although against the Packers, anything's possible.
