Let It Snow, Let It Snow, Let It Freakin' Snow

So, by now everyone's heard about Plane Skid 2005 (thanks for helping us keep up with the news in the comments!), where sadly one little boy was killed. Luckily there weren't more injuries & fatalities. So what else did the weather fuck up? Let's just have a little weather bitchoff because this just freaking sucks!

Whether you were walking, or going to the train or driving home last night or taking the bus, the commutes were a disaster. Benjy said it took him about 2 1/2 hours to get from where he works out by O'Hare to Lincoln Park. How long did it take you to get home last night?

Hopefully none of you were on the Amtrak train that hit a car last night. No clue why the car was on the tracks. Like the plane incident, no one on the train was hurt, but some one in the car was.

Ok, so when you did finally get home it wasn't over yet. Our clothes were drenched from walking in the snow. Were yours? And then did you have to change so you could go shovel? Luckily, we had a good excuse not to: we don't own a shovel! Another tenant used to do it for us, but now they've moved. Luckily our landlord came over at like 11:30pm and shovelled us out. Did you have to bust your back with that snow? And did you put salt out too?

Chicagoist is running late for work today, but we suspect that there will be a lot of people.. uh.. "working from home." We're just dreading going back out there in the freaking snow. Ahhh.. well.. best get going.
