Bears Playoff Tickets Now Available to NWI Residents

On Sunday the Bears announced that northwest Indiana residents will be eligible to buy playoff tickets when they go on sale today at 10am. Tickets that are available will be single-seat tickets for a home playoff game on January 14th or January 15th. The Bears opponent is also yet to be determined.

The team originally said it was restricting playoff ticket sales to IL residents as a way to limit the number of tickets purchased by non-Bears fans and ticket brokers. Now the director of ticket sales says he made a mistake and that the idea affected an important part of the team's fan base. It seems to us that while the original plan had good intentions, it would be super easy to get around for brokers and such. This new way should make sure all fans in the area, including NW IN get a chance at tickets.

Tickets are available through Ticketmaster by phone (312.559.1212) or internet only and are priced from $85 - $365. There's a limit of 4 tickets per customer name/address/credit card number. Good luck, though. You've already heard our rants on how shitty these online ticket sales go.

Also, Bears fans from Iowa, Wisconsin, Michigan and southern Indiana are SOL.
