Ctrl - Alt - Rock Loves You

The details are falling into place for Chicagoist’s first live rock show, Ctrl – Alt – Rock.
For those of you who will still be nursing broken hearts after Valentine’s Day, Chicagoist invites you to Schubas on February 16th for an evening with three of Chicago’s best local bands: The Assembly, May Or May Not, and Alphabet. They will warm both the cockles and sub-cockular regions of your cold, black heart.
Just in case you don’t get a present wrapped in a pretty bow that week, we’re also giving away some free stuff as well. Yesterday the good folks at Fanscape dropped a chocked-full package of schwag off at the Chicagoist offices. So during the event we’ll be giving away a movie poster autographed by the stars (Jamie Bell, Glenn Close) and director (Ari Posen) of the suburbia-is-hell film The Chumscrubber.
We’ll also be giving away CDs from Oasis, Offspring, All-American Rejects, My Chemical Romance, plenty of angry boy music from Fenix TX, Default, Relient K, Senses Fail, The Starting Line and greatest hits discs from Drive Thru Records.
And then there’s…actually, we’re going to be a bit coy about the rest for now. A girl’s gotta have her secrets, you know. Look for more details in upcoming posts as well as an interview with May Or May Not later this week.
Ctrl – Alt - Rock will rock your ass on Thursday, February 16th at Schubas for the low, low price of $8. Love rarely comes so cheap.
