The Return of the King

By Rachelle Bowden in Arts & Entertainment on Jan 25, 2006 2:58PM

2006_01_kingtut.jpgIn 1977, more than a million people went to a King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum. If you saw that exhibit and have been jonesing for the King since then, or if you've been waiting all this time, or if, like Chicagoist, you were too young to go (we were only 2 years old!), then now's your chance. Tickets for the upcoming King Tut exhibit at the Field Museum went on sale yesterday.

But don't expect to see Tut-Tut any time soon. For one, the exhibit doesn't open until May 26. For another, just yesterday, 9,000 tickets were sold. Also? The tickets are $25 each, which seems pretty steep to us. If you're a patient person who just got a raise, tickets can be purchased by calling (866) FIELD-03 or going to The Field Museum's King Tut site.
