Should Your Tiny Apartment Be On TV?

2006_02_small_space_big_style.jpgWe've all had that one apartment that was so tiny that the bed also was the couch and also was the table where you ate your dinner. Where your toaster oven was stacked on your microwave which was stacked on the cabinet that held your dinnerware and it was all located in your living room next to your TV because your kitchen was too small. Tiny apartments are a bitch. But then every once in a while you walk into one and it's so beautiful and so well organized that you didn't even really mind how small it is. This is the kind of place the new HGTV show Small Space, Big Style is looking for.

This spring Small Space, Big Style is coming to Chicago to film small homes and apartments. Right now they're in the process of locating these unique spaces so now is your chance if, unlike us, your small home is fabulous with lots of multi-functional ideas and great style.

2006_02_small_apt.jpgThe "homes" featured can actually be any kind of living space - homes, apartments, condos, lofts, bungalows, yurts, yachts, dorm rooms, houseboats - but they must be under 1,000 square feet. The home must have a unique or interesting design and should creatively make the most of the limited space. One last thing, the space must be within an hour's drive of Chicago.

If this sounds like your home or if you know someone who's done some amazing things with the small space they had to work with, go to here to sign up for the show.
