Hairspray Wants You!

Can you sing and dance? Do you enjoy Broadway spectacle? Do you have a “pretty face, infectious grin, and indomitable spirit?” Then perhaps you can be in the feature film Hairspray, which is based on the Broadway play, which was based on the movie that didn't have as much singing and dancing the first time.

Auditions will be held this Saturday at the Chicago Academy of the Arts (1010 W. Chicago Ave.) from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Producers are looking to cast three roles: Tracy Turnblad, Seaweed and Little Inez. If you’re familiar with the Broadway play, you know what they’re looking for but you can check the Chicago Film Office site for more information.
