Do you miss the internet when you log off? Do you wonder whether the World Wide Web is opening doors into the wide world of art? Do you wish you could get that same warm feeling listening to the radio you get reading blogs and surfing the net?
If so, you’re in luck. This Sunday morning on WBEZ’s Hello Beautiful!, host Edward Lifson discusses how the internet is affecting art with three people using technology to impact the art world. Taking a seat at his roundtable are Cultural Affairs’ Barbara Koenen, who brings local artists together through Chicago Artists Resource; architecture expert Lynn Becker; and arts blogger Terry Teachout, who’s based in New York but checks in with her Chicago friend from time to time.
The show promises a new angle on the media’s obsession with the internets, plus they’ll be taking your calls. Think of it as an on-air comments section about those arty blogging bloggers.
Hello Beautiful! airs on WBEZ Sunday at 10am.
