Hollywood Residents Freak Out on Chicagoans

Presumably in an effort to challenge the idea that "Chicago developers are less flamboyant", a bunch of windy city investors are going out of their way to cause a ruckus in sunny southern California.
A group of Chicago developers apparently own some land behind the big Hollywood sign in the Los Angeles hills. Well, it's one thing to own the land Howard Hughes selected for the site of Ginger Rogers' love nest, but it's an entirely different to build a bunch of big mansions on it.
Of course, Hollywoodians are up in arms over the idea that the famous view of the sign in the Hollywood hills would be altered by huge luxury houses—that's what Beverly Hills is for. It seems that no one, including city councilmen, had any idea that the investors even owned the land. Now these Chicagoans say they are listening if residents or the city wants to talk about buying the property, which might be a possibility now that citizens are calling it "an emergency situation."
So Los Angeleseites are banding together to raise money to buy back the property from the evil Chicago developers. After it's all said and done they will produce a heart-warming movie about it with lots of cameos from favorite movie stars like Farrah Fawcett. Hopefully.
